The Airfix 1:72 Curtiss P-40B Warhawk Model Kit recreates one of the early-war fighter aircraft that played a significant role in the opening years of the Second World War. Best known for its rugged design and distinctive shark-mouth nose art in some service units, the P-40B became an iconic Allied fighter across multiple theatres.

This detailed 1:72 scale plastic model kit represents the early P-40B variant, offering a compact yet historically important subject that is ideal for WWII aviation enthusiasts and collectors.

About the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American fighter aircraft developed in the late 1930s and widely used during the early years of WWII. While not as high-performing at altitude as some later fighters, it proved to be a durable and effective combat aircraft in a wide range of roles.

The P-40B variant was one of the earliest production versions and saw service with both USAAF and Allied air forces, including in the Pacific and North African theatres. It became particularly well known through units such as the American Volunteer Group (AVG), the “Flying Tigers,” who operated the type in China.

Its robust construction and heavy armament made it a reliable frontline fighter during a critical phase of the war.
