Tamiya 1:48 A-10A Thunderbolt II

The US Air Force needed a new close air support aircraft to counter Soviet tanks crossing the plains of Europe. Step forward the Thunderbolt II or should we call is the "Warthog". Packing a 30mm minigun that would stop tanks in their tracks, rockets and Maverick missiles, this iconic aircraft has had its service life extended because ground troops just wont go without!

This kit depicts the A-10A Thunderbolt II, which served with distinction as a close air-support aircraft during the 1991 Gulf War. The robust form of the aircraft and its lethal 30mm cannon have been reproduced in this model kit and it comes with a wide range of missiles and bombs as well. One pilot figure and five marking options are included.
